Roka Furadada collaborates in the humanisation of the Intensive Care Units
The company, which locates their R&D department at the Research Module B at the UAB Research Park, has given a batch of protective lotion destined to their ICU patients when making therapeutic visits to the beach.
Roka Furadada collaborates with Hospital del Mar to humanise the Intensive Care Units (ICU). And it does so through the delivery to Hospital del Mar of the first batch of sunscreen lotion with SPF 30, containing its exclusive technology, ROKA Smart UV®. Thus, the collaboration between the company and the hospital, which began last September, keeps on going.
These lotions are aimed at the ICU patients who take part in therapeutic outings to the beach. The outings are a part of the humanisation of the hospital, which also includes music therapy, accompaniment with therapeutic animals, and the use of VR for rehabilitation of hospitalised patients.
Doctor Masclans has declared that “the collaboration among industry and different foundations is fundamental to allow the integral development of our ICU humanisation program. Without it, we couldn’t have reached our current level, so we give our warmest thanks to Roka Furadada, who since the first moment has been a willing participant.”
On the other hand, Judit Camargo, CEO of Roka Furadada, said that “it is very exciting to be able to help such a humane and necessary program. It is amazing the work they do at the ICU, not only saving lives but helping and taking care of the patients.”
