Roka Furadada closes €2.3 million funding round to promote new sustainable cosmetic ingredients

The company, which has its R&D department in Research Module B of the UAB Research Park, has announced the success of a new €2.3 million funding round, with the participation of its current partners and led by O Financial Club (OFC). This capital injection will be used to accelerate the development of new high-performance active ingredients and consolidate the company's international expansion.

Roka Furadada specialises in researching and developing photoadaptive active ingredients for sun protection. The company aims to provide solutions that are more effective, sustainable and less toxic than traditional sunscreens. The company's technology provides high protection against ultraviolet radiation while reducing environmental impact, thereby addressing a critical challenge for public health and the environment.

Funds raised in the latest funding round will primarily be allocated to developing new, innovative cosmetic ingredients and supporting the company's international commercial strategy. Roka Furadada currently has a presence in markets such as Spain, Italy, France, Poland, South Korea, Indonesia, the United States and Mexico.
