Fuelium recieves the “Best in class” award at the Expoquimia 2023 congress
The spin-off of the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM-CSIC, Institut de Microelectrònica de Barcelona), located at the UAB Research Park, founded in 2015, has been awarded with the “Best in Class” recognition for being an example of excellence in technology transference and innovation.
Expoquimia, the fair dedicated to the chemical industry, took place last week at the Fira de Barcelona, coinciding with the plastics show, Equiplast. Both events brought together 590 exhibitors with more than 1.500 companies represented, who have a focus on sustainability, digitalisation, and technology transfer; and 18.882 visitors.
In this edition, Fuelium was one of the four companies recognised with the “Best in Class” award in Expoquimia as an example of innovation and business transformation. The company develops, manufactures, and commercialises paper-based ecological batteries for disposable dispositives such as rapid diagnostic tests, environmental monitoring sensors or packaging.
The award ceremony took place last Wednesday, May 31st at the gala dinner of the chemical industry at the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC), which had in attendance Roger Torrent, Catalan Minister of Enterprise and Employment, and more than 600 people.
H2Site, Inditex, and Repsol also received the award.
