Fuelium, AllRead, and Roka Furadada, among the 100 best start-ups from the Spanish science and technology parks.
These three companies from the UAB Research Park belong to the list of the 100 best startups of 2023 from the Association of Spanish Science and Technology Parks (APTE, Asociación de Parques Científicos y Tecnológicos de España).
APTE has compiled a list of the 100 best start-ups of 2023 located within their 51 science and technology parks around 15 Spanish autonomous communities. These are 100 innovative projects leading in different fields going from biotechnology to artificial intelligence, as well as clean energies, telecommunications, health, space, automotion, semiconductors, agrotech, blockchain, software, etc.
Three companies in the UAB Research Park are among this list: Fuelium, a spin-off of the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona (IMB-CNM-CSIC, Instituto de Microelectrónica de Barcelona), which develops, produces, and commercialises ecologic batteries made of paper via disposable dispositive; All Read, a company derived from the UAB and the Computer Vision Centre, who has developed software that optimises the tracking of containers and other assets in ports and maritime terminals; and Roka Furadada, which develops and commercialises active principles with therapeutic and cosmetic uses to protect the skin from solar radiation-related illnesses.
The goal APTE is pursuing with this information is to recognise the 100 most outstanding startups in Spanish science and technology parks and highlight the quality and entrepreneurial ability being developed in these environments, as well as introduce the knowledge of these businesses to potential investors and entities interested in high-growth projects.
These start-ups will have a special role during the next edition of the Transfiere Forum happening in Malaga from March 20th to 22nd, 2024, since they will receive a special participation invitation with a networking agenda for them to take part and organise meetings with potential clients and investors.
