Five seminars to give innovation and transfer tools to PhD candidates
The UAB Research Park and the UAB PhD School launch a two-week cycle of seminars to give research personnel in-training the necessary tools to improve the capacity of knowledge transfer to society.
This free program will offer different tools and methodologies that will allow you to apply the results of research and obtain skills of innovation and entrepreneurship, besides learning the key aspects of the tech transfer ecosystem.
Thus, the goal of the program is based on discovering the possible transfer uses of their thesis to society and, on the other hand, on improving the quality of the thesis by focusing it on its applicability and innovation. Therefore, the program aims to promote the personal growth of the personnel and increase the trust of the presentation of the project, optimising the communication according to the necessities of the audience.
The five sessions that compose the cycle are the following:
- Monday, February 17th, from 3 to 5 pm: Opportunities to identify a project with impact, by Julia Palma.
- Wednesday, February 19th, from 3 to 5:30 pm: Lean Start-up method and customer discovery, by Javier de la Ossa.
- Monday, February 24th, from 3 to 5:30 pm: Technological surveillance and protection of knowledge, by Sandra Ramos.
- Wednesday, February 26th, from 3 to 4 pm: How to fund a research project depending on its stage, by Lina Solarte.
- Wednesday, February 26th, from 4 to 5:30 pm: Creating presentations with impact, by David Hernández.
The first three sessions will take place in the Polivalent room at the Eureka building, while the last two will be online.
