Five projects will present their innovative ideas at the final event of the ‘one health’ Idea Generation Programme
On 30 May, at 11.30 am, the final competition of the 14th edition of the Generation of Ideas Programme of the UAB Research Park will take place, focused on devising and developing innovative solutions in the field of ‘one health’. To attend as a member of the public, registration is required.
The programme, which took place in January and May, is now coming to an end with the presentation of the five finalist projects, which will be presented to a jury of experts in the evaluation of business ideas: Maite Martín, President of the OneHealth Platform; Lluís Ruiz, Director General of Leukos and President of Aquilón; and Lucas Martín, Patent and Technology Transfer Technician at the UAB.
The competition will take place in the multi-purpose room of the UAB Research Park and the best project will win 2,000 euros and the best innovative idea 1,000 euros. Registration is required to participate.
The following projects will be presented
- Primesign Alzheimer Test: rapid diagnostic test for early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease and risk stratification of patients at the point of care.
- Replantegem: transformation of urban spaces and people's relationship with green infrastructure and citizen participation.
- Nanoblock: standardised modular system based on the assembly of functional protein building blocks for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infectious diseases.
- Sepsisguard: rapid and highly sensitive diagnostic kit for the identification of pathogens and antibiotic resistance in blood samples from patients with sepsis.
- Regemed Medical Solutions: a rapid skin regeneration device that instantly produces customised solutions from the skin's own tissue.
The event will also include the participation of Natàlia Majó, head of the animal welfare programme at IRTA-CReSA, who will give a talk entitled ‘Avian influenza: a global health problem’.
This 14th edition of the Programme has the support of Santander Universities and the collaboration of the One Health Platform and the sponsorship of Reig Jofre and Sant Cugat City Council.
