ULALABS invites you to the open webinar Tech for All: Emerging Technologies for Inclusive Urban Transformation, an online session exploring how emerging technologies can support a more inclusive and collaborative urban transformation.

The webinar will explore the role of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, geographic information systems (GIS), IoT testbeds, experiential apps, and advanced fabrication technologies in collaborative urban design and lab-based innovation.
Speakers:
- Javier Martinez (University of Twente, Netherlands) – AI, VR & GIS for co-design
- Maria Rodó (Pompeu Fabra University, Spain) – mapping inclusion with Relief Maps
- Jens Kaae Fisker (University of Stavanger, Norway) – Urban Belonging App & NEB-STAR tools
- Vangelis Angelakis (Linköping University, Sweden) – Testbed Kungsgatan (IoT-enabled urban experimentation)
- Marc Bassó Ferrer (CIM UPC, Spain) – emerging technologies, advanced manufacturing, sensorics & the strategic role of labs in urban transformation
The session will also include a roundtable discussion facilitated by Oriol Barat Auleda (Barcelona Science and Technology Studies Group – STS-b & Department of Social Psychology, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona).
This webinar is part of the ULALABS Distributed Learning Pilot “How to integrate emerging technologies and collaborative methodologies to design inclusive and sustainable urban spaces”, running throughout the spring semester of 2026.
