The UAB Research Park and the UAB PhD School have teamed up to organise a series of seminars to give tools to the research personnel in training.

The seminars, which are free, offer different tools and methodologies to apply the research results and obtain skills on entrepreneurship and innovation, besides understanding the key aspects of the tech transfer ecosystem. The goals of the program are the following:

  • Discovering the possible transfer uses of their thesis to society.
  • Improving the quality of the thesis, focusing it on applicability and innovation.

Thus, they promote the personal growth and improve the confidence on the presentation of the project, optimising the communication according to the needs of the audience.

The first session, by Julia Palma, will take place on February 17th, from 3 to 5 pm. There we will explore the opportunities to identify a project with real impact and explore the possible transfer uses. We will analyse how to detect key areas in which a project can generate a positive change, as well as the factors that contribute to their sustainability and success. Through real-life examples, we will identify uncovered needs and how to transform them into opportunities to create value. Even more, we will learn about practical skills to evaluate the impact potential of an idea and how to ensure our initiatives have a real influence in society and the market.
