Innovation and Transfer Seminars: Opening and Impact Opportunities

The UAB Research Park, together with the UAB Doctoral School, is organising this seminar for research trainees, with the aim of providing practical tools to identify the transfer potential and social impact of doctoral research.

Through a brief, applied and results-oriented programme, participants will be able to explore how to transform scientific knowledge into useful solutions for society through different avenues: knowledge transfer, collaborations with companies and institutions, innovation and entrepreneurship.

This programme is free of charge and is designed for doctoral candidates from any discipline who wish to explore knowledge transfer, prepare for impact calls or enhance the applied dimension of their thesis.

In this session, we will work on the following concepts:

  • What does research transfer mean?
  • Types of transfer and routes to impact
  • How to identify opportunities: social needs, challenges and trends
  • Basic criteria for identifying transferable projects
