La Biblioteca de Ciència i Tecnologia organitza activitats divulgatives a l’Espai BCT des del 2022 amb la intenció d’omplir de coneixement els migdies del campus UAB.
The UAB Science and Technology Library has been organising educational activities at Espai BCT since 2022 with the aim of filling the midday hours on the UAB campus with knowledge.
At the end of 2024, PlasticHeal, a European research project coordinated by the UAB, succeeded in characterising in detail how commercial polymer-based tea bags release millions of micro- and nanoplastics into the infusion. A few months later, in March 2025, we learned that these small and invisible forms of plastic pollution pose a risk to human health.
What are these risks? We will find out in this lecture by Dr Alba Hernández Bonilla, leader of the UAB-Mutagenesis research group and Director of the Department of Genetics and Microbiology at the UAB.
