Experiences of public innovation and the transfer of knowledge from the university to society

Knowledge transfer is also key to improving public policies, responding to social challenges and driving more innovative, efficient services that are geared towards the needs of citizens.
This event aims to highlight the role of the university as a strategic ally for public administrations, the third sector and territorial stakeholders in generating applied knowledge with a real impact.
The session will showcase public-public collaboration experiences between UAB research groups and public administrations, based on cases linked to areas such as social cohesion, sustainability, artificial intelligence applied to public health, or metropolitan mobility. Through these experiences, the challenges that motivated the collaborations, the mechanisms that made them possible, the results achieved and their potential to be replicated or adapted in other territories and administrations will be explored.
The activity is aimed at management and technical staff from public administrations, researchers and research groups, third-sector organisations and territorial stakeholders interested in promoting new forms of collaboration between universities, government and society.
