Artificial intelligence and data governance in local councils: where to start?

This conference, organised by the UAB Research Park and Barcelona Provincial Council, aims to promote knowledge and collaboration around the applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and data governance in municipal management.
The event is intended for representatives of public administrations, companies, and research staff, and is intended to serve as a meeting place for:
- Raising awareness of the current technological offerings of AI solutions for the municipal sector;
- Presenting real use cases implemented in various local councils;
- Disseminating the advisory and support capabilities offered by UAB's research ecosystem
- Encouraging networking and the generation of synergies between the different stakeholders in the area.
The conference programme will include:
- A session with technology providers: demos of data governance tools (data warehousing, analytics, semantics and visualisation);
- A section on the UAB's capabilities: scientific advice on data quality, ethics and documentation. Success stories.
- A networking section: structured meetings with researchers and suppliers.
This conference is an opportunity to identify common challenges, explore innovative solutions, and establish strategic collaborations in the field of artificial intelligence in the public sector.
