Innovation Day: sessió de generació d'idees i creació d'equips

The Innovation Day: Talent Solutions is an initiative promoted by the Molins de Rei Town Council and the UAB Research Park, with the support of the Barcelona Provincial Council, which aims to put technology at the service of the university community to respond, through open innovation and collaboration, to the new contexts, needs and challenges of businesses.

The activity is aimed at the entire UAB community, especially students, who, based on specific challenges from local companies, will have the opportunity to form teams, acquire ideation and/or prototyping tools, and learn techniques and resources for presenting a project idea with impact.

Students who participate will receive 3 RAC credits.

The ideation and team-building session for the university community will take place on 8 October 2026 from 12 pm to 5 pm at the COMTEC space in the UAB Communication and General Press Library. Participating teams will develop their proposed solutions to their chosen challenge, and will have the opportunity to speak with companies and be mentored by professors.

Challenges

• Challenge 1: ECOM, AI-powered employment inclusion. ECOM aims to improve access to employment for people with physical or organic disabilities through an artificial intelligence solution that anticipates labour market trends and recommends tailored opportunities, skills and training pathways
• Challenge 2: ECOZERO PROJECTS, Intelligent customer support platform. ECOZERO PROJECTS aims to improve customer experience and autonomy through an AI-powered platform that integrates the company’s fragmented information and resolves enquiries quickly and automatically.
• Challenge 3: ECOZERO PROJECTS, Electric motorcycle configuration. ECOZERO PROJECTS aims to streamline and systematise the tuning of electric motorcycles through an intelligent application that recommends optimal configurations based on riding objectives, expert knowledge and the results of previous cases.
• Challenge 4: ROHU Innovations, Drone flight simulation. ROHU Innovations aims to make drone validation safer and more efficient by integrating an existing flight simulator with ArduPilot to detect errors, calibrate parameters and test missions before carrying out real-world flights.
• Challenge 5: True Regenerative, Soil regeneration. True Regenerative aims to accelerate the transition towards genuinely regenerative agriculture through practical, measurable and scalable solutions that restore soil fertility, reduce reliance on chemicals and maintain farmers’ profitability.
• Challenge 6: True Regenerative, Marine ecosystem regeneration. True Regenerative aims to apply regenerative aquaculture in the Mediterranean through efficient, measurable and economically viable technological systems that restore coastal seabeds, particularly in port environments.
• Challenge 7: NeumaCare, Sensory adaptation in hospital rooms. NeumaCare aims to humanise the care experience through an artificial intelligence system that automatically adapts light, sound, scent and other room stimuli to each patient’s condition and needs.
• Challenge 8: NeumaCare, Connected hospital rooms. NeumaCare aims to turn hospital rooms into intelligent, integrated environments through an IoT architecture that connects sensors, devices and environmental variables to provide personalised, safe and scalable responses.
• Challenge 9: 01 Informàtica, Intelligent technical support assistant. 01 Informàtica aims to improve its after-sales service through an autonomous AI assistant that supports customers via WhatsApp or the web, consults product manuals and purchase data, and guides users through installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes.
• Challenge 10: Aigües de Barcelona, Renaturalisation of the Sant Feliu wastewater treatment plant. Aigües de Barcelona aims to transform the Sant Feliu wastewater treatment plant into a blue-green hub that generates biodiversity, ecosystem services and climate resilience while improving comfort and the experience of staff and visitors.
• Challenge 11: Molins de Rei Town Council, Reducing noise from outdoor terraces. Molins de Rei Town Council aims to balance the activity of outdoor hospitality terraces with residents’ right to rest by using technologies that detect, monitor and prevent noise and provide real-time data to improve municipal management.
• Challenge 12: Molins de Rei Town Council, Managing waste from outdoor terraces. Molins de Rei Town Council aims to improve the cleanliness of public spaces through intelligent solutions, such as table-top bins with gamification features, that prevent litter from spreading and make it easier to monitor incidents.
