Cafè d'Innovació Hub b30: Municipal Mobility Planning: From Data to Decisions

The current challenges of urban mobility, such as the increase of traffic, environmental sustainability, and the need for granting equal access for all the citizens, require that public administrations have actual and precise information to take properly informed decisions. The day is organised with the goal of showing how different initiatives and tools of analysis could be key to solving said challenges.

10:00 Institutional Welcome: Xavier Gabarrell - UAB Vice-rector of Campus an Sustainability. 

10:05 Introduction: Rafael Requena - UAB Campus Head of Mobility.

10:15 Laia Mojica and Alexandra Bretones - PhDs in Geography and Postdoctoral Researchers, UAB Department of Geography. Urbametrics, a tool that will help administrations plan urban mobility through objective data and measurable indicators.

10:35 Jordi Honey-Rosés - Researcher at ICTA-UAB. Citizen participation in the construction of cycle-friendly cities. Research projects in which citizens have played a leading role in generating data to make cities more cyclable, such as the creation of the first traffic model for the city of Barcelona, the BiciZen platform (www.bicizen.org) and the BiciBus initiative.
