Through a brief, applied and results-oriented programme, participants will be able to explore how to transform scientific knowledge into useful solutions for society through different avenues: knowledge transfer, collaborations with companies and institutions, innovation and entrepreneurship.

This programme is free of charge and is designed for doctoral candidates from any discipline who wish to explore knowledge transfer, prepare for impact calls or enhance the applied dimension of their thesis.

In this session, we will work on the following concepts:

  • From research to solution: value proposition
  • Defining the user/beneficiary and the problem
  • Initial validation: interviews, hypotheses and tests
  • How to avoid the ‘build without validating’ mistake
